This is a nice vintage antique Villeroy & Boch large Mettlach stein with hops, barrel & a male figure decoration. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with no nicks or chips having
minimal signs of wear and it comes exactly as shown. It measures 6 3/4" in diameter at the base and is 16 1/2" tall.
It has a saying above the figure which appears to me to say,
von durst dich niemals qualen palz
Im keller liegt viel kuhles Malz
which loosely translates to
of thirst never torment you palz
There is a lot of cool malt in the cellar
