    Description

    You are looking at a vintage German Ceramic Beer Stein / Mug with a hinged and decorative Pewter lid.  The stein is about 8.5" high (the Ceramic mug part is 6.25" high) with a 3-3/16" base.  It weighs 2 pounds. The scene on the stein depicts scenes from Munich with the left side saying (in German) "Townhall", the center saying "Greetings from Munich" and the right side saying "Courtyard Brewey".
    The stein is in very good to excellent condition (it has been in storage) with no chips, cracks or breaks but some light marks on the bottom rim. The bottom is stamped with "West Germany" and a number that I can not make out.  This mug (I have 3 others that I will be listing shortly) was owned by my father.  I do not know when they were made but I do know he had them since the late 1950's to early 1960's so that is the date I am listing them at age-wise (they could be older).
