Description

The Madagascar 1,000 Ariary banknote is part of the Central Bank of Madagascars 2017 issues. The banknote comes in color combinations of purple, brown, yellow, green, and red. Featured on its obverse is an outline map of the country, the Kamoro bridge, and two birds in flight. The back of the 129 x 69 mm paper bill boasts the highway and rock formation in Isalo National Park and a butterfly. The banknote bears a solid security thread with demetalized BFM 1000 and a map. It also carries a watermark that shows the head of Zebu cattle and an electrotype 1000. Additionally, the banknote has a registration device in the form of a butterfly. This authenticated banknote is in uncirculated condition.
