Often the chin straps show wear or may not be period correct. Cammo covers may have wear damage or have repairs and be dirty,dried or have minor rips. The M1 helmet was standard issue in the USA for over 40 years and so the components may be mixed period pieces.

    Description

    A nice, vintage genuine USA  made M1 helmet complete. Vietnam  war /Vietnam era  .The steel pot M1 has rear seam and swivel bales. The paint appears correct in color and texture for the Vietnam war period. It has the usual surface rust , dings and scratches. I cannot see or feel any dents or fractures. The chin strap in attached by the bales and appears to be the airborne design. Liner is suspension style ,liner straps are intact and have only very minor wear. A nice looking solid M1 pot. The turtle shell ground troops liner is good and I see no cracks it appears to be in nice shape with minimal wear. The  head band is in nice shape. The webbing looks fine.This is a great collectors item. I am not an expert on Military collectables and so I have attached many very detailed photographs of the helmet set so that you know exactly what you will receive.
