    This pin type was introduced in 1869.  Image--2 children kneeling in foreground to receive benediction, Goddess of Liberty in center representing loyalty and soldier on either side representing fraternity, on either side flag & eagle representing freedom, ax & bundle of rods for union.  Has the dates of 1861 & 1866 on either side of the "VETERAN" in middle of bottom.   This pin has the same image as the GAR Badge.
