ABOUT THE SELLER: I am a vintage sewing machine enthusiast, especially Bernina but will occasionally venture out for a Singer 400 series or Elna Supermatic... so basically the 1950s up as far as the mid 70s. These well-built, mostly metal machines are a pleasure to work on with parts still accessible. Really, I love rescuing them like stray kittens. Sometimes they come to us seized up from lack of maintenance and just need a good cleaning. Others need new gears and random parts. My husband enjoys working on machines. So, I buy them, he tunes them up, cleans them and makes repairs as needed then I resell. We do not accept returns. We have been requested to accept a return simply because a buyer decided it was out of their budget or didn’t think the light was bright enough. Please understand that we cannot accept buyer’s remorse as a reason for return. We didn’t build these machines but will make every effort to pass them along to you in a quality similar to the manufacturer’s intent. That said though, if the machine arrives damaged, of course we will work with the carrier to file insurance claims and make it right. This sewing machine will be thoughtfully packed and shipped (usually FEDEX) and I will add insurance. I strive to ship very quickly, often on the same business day. Machines will be appropriately padded to prevent abrasion and boxes will be filled with packing peanuts. If you receive a machine from us and the box appears to be damaged upon delivery, please photograph the box before opening. This is helpful for any insurance claim.
