  • Condition: Overall condition, excellent and in and exceptional. In a rare state of completeness, although the pads in the Campy shoes are Scott-Malthauser C replacements. Very good looking, spotlessly clean. Calipers have been completely disassembled and each part, individually polished, then reassembled, adjusted & lubed. Some surface deterioration on the chrome-plated steel hardware, though most of it is still fine, including, happily, both main springs. The deep pitting is restricted almost entirely to the top edge of the rear's brake shoes: compare it with the front's in the second-last image.

    Description

    Offering an exceptionally nice set of Campagnolo's much-loved Model 2040 Record single-pivot sidepull calipers in the Standard-Reach, post-CSPC iteration, for
    nutted
    (not recessed) installation.
    Newly and thoroughly refurbished and ready to install. The one and only non-original thing to be found in the set are the Scott-Malthauser C cartridge pads installed in the Campy shoes. They are, btw, in great shape with very little loss of material and might even be considered a period-correct upgrade.
    NOTE: some deterioration of the steel hardware's chrome plating can be found though most of it is in excellent condition, the one eyesore being the thin strip at the top of the rear's brake shoes (compare it to the front's in the second-last image).
